Sandhill Crane (Antigone canadensis)

A sandhill crane (Antigone canadensis) slowly strolls through the dried marshgrasses on an early spring day. They have been around for weeks after migrating north from the far south, most likely Florida or somewhere along the Gulf Coast. Their coloring tends to blend into their surroundings, but sometimes they catch the sunlight just so.
